Greta Blue was founded in 2006 to supply luxury organic cotton bedding to businesses that care where their products come from and how they are produced.

Our interest in bedding, accessories and the organic cotton industry has grown out of over ten years' experience in furniture retail. During this time we have found that there is a limited choice of well-designed, organic cotton bedding on offer to environmentally conscious people.

After a lot of research we found a textile company based in India whose aims and ethical integrity were similar to our own. This established business originally began in 1934. They moved towards organic production in 1993 when they set up the first organic cotton project in central India.

The pilot project effectively demonstrated how cotton could be grown organically - without using chemical fertilisers and pesticides on a commercial basis - and how it could greatly benefit the farmer and the environment.

We have worked with this company to develop our organic cotton bedding. The result is our first collection – a ‘green’ range that is stylish, luxurious, durable and soft: created in harmony with the environment and your home.
